According to the recent Vietnam Government decree regarding immigration (2/16/2017), the visitors from 46 countries can apply for Vietnam’s e-visa (electronic visa) during pilot period and the validity endures 30 days. If your home country is not on the list of 46 countries or your nationality is included in the list but you wish to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days or visit Vietnam on a business trip, and you are not the citizens of those 24 countries, so you can consider two ways to obtain a Vietnam visa. With the ordinary way, you have to go to the Vietnam Embassy in your home country then follow the procedure to apply for the visa. Another method is Visa on Arrival (VOA), this method has been the most popular in recent years because it is extremely convenient, affordable and can save your time and money.

How to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival

Firstly, with the Visa on Arrival, you can easily submit the application online by filling out the form online (https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html) and it merely takes 5 minutes. Then after 2 working days, you will get the visa approval letter via email. Finally, when you arrive in Vietnam, you have to present these following documents (your passport, Visa Approval Letter, 2 passport photos, visa approval letter via email, stamping fee) to the Immigration Officer to receive the Visa stamped.

The visitors wishing to obtain a VOA should notice that you have to pay two fees for it including Stamping fee and Service fee. A single-entry visa costs 25$ USD for stamping fee and 50$ USD for multiple entry visa valid up to 3 months.
