Vietnam Extends visa for 5 European countries citizens till 2020

We would like to inform that the Vietnamese government has decided to extend visa exemption for citizens of Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Spain till 2020.

Exemption Visa Vietnam Policy

Accordingly, all citizens of United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and Germany will continue enjoy 15-day exemption of visa to Vietnam if:

  1. Their passport is valid for at least 6 month following their date of arrival in Vietnam and
  2. Their arrival date does not fall within 30 days following the date of exit from Vietnam of their last staying in the country with visa exemption.

What if you are citizens of one of those countries but either or both of the two conditions above is not met?

  1. In case the passport is valid for less than 6 months following the date of arrival in Vietnam, but the latter is met, you should renew your passport and then enjoy the visa exemption.
  2. In;case the former is met while the latter is not met, you need to apply for Visa to get into Vietnam.
  3. In case neither of the two conditions is met, you need to renew your passport first and then apply for Vietnam visa to travel to the country.
